gjmwalsh Posted June 23, 2007 Share Posted June 23, 2007 For the past 5 years my server has been connected to the 'net with a D-Link modem. No problems until it died. The telco immediately replaced it with a 2WIRE 2700HG-E. And I have been frustrated ever since. My research on the net confirms that anything other than 1 host confuses the 'thing'. So I have connection through DHCP, and firewalling (NAT) in place. What I used to do was establish a lan for dns and mx services with Mandriva's 'named' . But that does not seem to allow the mail to 'get through'. Has anyone else experienced this? I've hit all manner of complexity - split dns, bridging (connecting the local ethernet card to the 2WiIRE) but that simple action causes all manner of problems at that end! This just has to be too simple for me to understand!!! Any suggestions would be sincerely appreciated. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
