CHM & PDF [solved]

Never heard of it before, but a couple of seconds with Wikipedia gives a variety of links. And a couple more seconds with the "add software" tool gives a selection of likely-sounding packages, like xchm, kchm, gnochm and so on.

kchm works, when i posted i looked in the "add software" in mcc but when ever i chose something it came back with errors, so with you listing the packages i was able to install them until i found 1 that works.

chm is just compressed html, using proprietary Microshaft algos, and (under windoze) activeX malw... err, I meant components.

Under Linux, you can display them with "kchmviewer" and print them to pdf using the embedded KDE printer driver. However, it's more sane to complain to the guys that distribute online material as .chm about their silly choice...
