Greg2
Is there any way to change the color of the kicker? Right-click on it > Configure panel > Appearance > Panel background
ilia_kr
Right-click on it > Configure panel > Appearance > Panel background I mean to change the background of an orange mandriva start button, not to change the background of the panel. ilia_kr
No. The button remains orange, only its background changes. I guess it is some kind of an icon, if i knew where to find it i could change it.

zibi1981
Hi! I tried to replace the standard mdv_kmenu.png with the one linked above, but with no success  In my Mandriva Spring the icons responsible for displaying this menu png are located in /var/lib/mandriva/kde-profiles/free/share/icons/crystalsvg, where I have six folders: "128x128", "64x64", "48x48", "32x32", "22x22" and "16x16". I'm currently using "mdv_kmenu.png" size "medium", which is located in "48x48" folder. It's size 194x48 pixels. I put the icon linked above to this folder, replacing the older one, as it has the same size. Unfortunately nothing has changed, even after restart. Ay suggestions? And one more question: do they come in green? :P
Greg2
OK, then you will have to use Gimp and resize the new .png to the size of 'each' directory. Then place each image in the proper directory, replacing the old image. I just resized a couple and they look ok. Here's 129x32 for the 32x32 directory:
neddie
I'm guessing the reason yours is orange (and mine was too, till I replaced with the normal star) is that you installed from One, and the orange theme wasn't replaced with the blue on install. I think that's why I've got orange scroll bars and orange highlighting on my menu entries, and an orange "KDE 3.5 / One" on my start menu. I assumed that an update using urpmi would have replaced those things but it seems not.

I've also did some Gimp-voodoo on it, and now I have a green KMenu icon! :D
