Corel Photo-Paint

I have recently found on that Corel photopaint 9 is for Linux, check this link:

its in czech language, but all you have to know is that the source code is binary can someone of you try to install it, thank you

The application is some eight years old, and actually its a windows version running via embedded wine environment. Installation is fairly easy.

It's not produced or supported any more, it's buggy and resources-heavy, it's not free, and on top of all these things, the current versions of Gimp can do much more.

It hasn't run on Mandriva since Mandrake 10 and then it took a bit of jiggery pokery and you couldn't update the OS because it broke compatibility. I have the full paid for suite.

 

The formats .cpt and .cdr that it uses cannot be opened in any current Linux application. It was good software but stick with the Gimp, or for drawing Xara.

Thaxs about the info with Corel 9, oki I will stay with GIMP, cool.....

about the soft Pixel its a very nice software, but its cost something about 40 eur.
