Trio3b
Googled, read WIKI, searched forums but no luck. 99% of threads related to printer sharing Linux to Windows . One or two threads about linux to linux printer sharing trail off into other topics. Running MDK 10.2 on two PCs with Brother DCP 7020 attached to one via USB . Am able to ping and connect thru ssh. Internet sharing also working. Tried sharing thru CUPS admin localhost:631 Tried sharing thru KDE printer admin. Tried MCC Samba. Says it is for linux and non-Linux systems but when I open wizard, questions all seem to be Windows related. Must be missing something simple. Any help appreciated. scarecrow
*nix systems should also have no trouble accessing the samba shares, provided that smbclient is installed (no need for the client having samba configured and running). I should be able to add a printer"configured on other machines" thru printerdrake, but when I progress, Am informed that there is no network connection so other printers can neither be detected nor configured.
