First is build for mandriva 2007.1 that will be out officially in some days, then mandirva kde has errors and flaws, for example doesnt have an Home icon or to run konqueror as root and this kde is build with pch, its a faster kde.

Guest Sir Max

hi..

i have configured your repository, as ever :thumbs: , and never had any problem... but now that i have installed mandriva 2007.1 when i update my system i get this error:

http://www.mde.djura.org/2007.1/RPMS/libkd...2007.1.i586.rpm

...retrieving failed: curl: (22) The requested URL returned error: 404

...retrieving failed: curl: (22) The requested URL returned error: 404

...retrieving failed: curl failed: exited with 22

in the website the kde packages are inside a folder named 3.5.6, is that right? or the repository isn't vailable yet? and i'm just trashing my system?

thanks for your time :D

You may want to update your urpmi database

and also tried to use synthesis.hdlist.cz and it gives me this error

urpmi.addmedia MDE http://www.mde.djura.org/2007.1/RPMS with synthesis.hdlist.cz
adding medium "MDE"
http://www.mde.djura.org/2007.1/RPMS/synthesis.hdlist.cz
unable to parse hdlist file of "MDE"
problem reading synthesis file of medium "MDE"
unable to update medium "MDE"
removing medium "MDE"

i don't know what else to do..

Im sorry but sems to exist some problems with the file synthesis.hdlist.cz, so instead you could do:

urpmi.addmedia MDE http://www.mde.djura.org/2007.1/RPMS with hdlist.cz

but this will not install the kde rpms, so untill the script that generates hdlists files is fixed please download the kde rpms to you hd and then create a local media and install them from there.

I have check the script and this is a bug from the package rpmtools done by mandriva that when generating hdlists files doesnt set anymore the recursive option, so doesnt search/add subfolders.

So to workaround this untill this annoying bug can be fixed, i will move the kde rpms to the RPMS folder.

In fact this is a more complicated problem, this is a urpmi problem that isnt able to recusivelly search inside sufolders that exist in RPMS folder.

So i think the best option is to just start using smart and i will post in MDE webpage how to add the MDE repos to smart.

Meanwhile run this as rooter to add MDE repo to smart:

smart channel -y --add MDE type=urpmi baseurl=http://www.mde.djura.org/2007.1/RPMS hdlurl=hdlist.cz
