I think pyscrabble is online multiplayer only? Is that what you want? There's the game xscrabble, it's fairly simple to build. You need xscrabble and xscrabble_en (or xscrabble_fr) to make it work: ftp://ftp.ac-grenoble.fr/ge/educational_games/ if you have any problems let me know.
