trouble updating klamav db files

Recommended Posts

hello,

i've just updated klamav via MCC to klam-av-0.32-4mdk and clam 0.90-1.1mdv2007.0 but now when i try to update database files using Update Now button i get a "Config file error" message. I dont see any config file in my .klamav didrectory. Anybody run into a similar problem since updating? Googled error message but could find no results that helped.

thanx

KlamAV gave me a prob on 2007.0 so I didnt bother redownloading it on 2007 Spring, Instead I downloaded Bitdefender to run every now and then to make sure I do not get windows viruses and give to people I connect to with windows pc's

Have same problem of incompatibility of clamav and Klamav version.

Did the delete database trick worked?

Alternative might be to get source instead of using urpmi

but for these I do not want ot waste time, I'd rather use urpmi

what i did was download klamav 0.41 from rpmnet. I found a post that advised that clam .9x's config file was somehow incompatible w/less then klamav .41. once downloaded & installed can now update klamav. it would be nice if people updating the repos would check simple things like keeping clam & klamav in sync....

You can report on bugzilla, however I hope it is fixed

in 2007.1, saying that should be fixed in 2007.0 as well

thanks for the feedback

PS: I did not think of getting a rpm from another source, as

I was not sure it would be compatible
