WickeD_Angel
When I execute 'mesg y', I get: mesg: error: tty device is not owned by group `tty' Just 'mesg' gives: is n This happens at tty -> /dev/pts/1 When I hit Ctrl + Alt + F1 and login with my username there, mesg is set to 'y', and I can change it to 'n' and back again without errors; I also get the message from /etc/motd that I've set before. But still don't get it at /dev/pts/1. The consequnces are that I can't use write and talk tools. I also don't get the /etc/motd stuff under the X server. Any ideas?
