zibi1981
I'm curious, whether anyone managed to run CIV on Linux using Wine. I know it is possible to make it happen with Cedega, but I'd prefer Wine, also because one don't have to pay for it :P
SoulSe
Long discussion over here on the Ubuntu forums. Doesn't seem like WINE will run it, but someone might figure it out sooner or later. For now it seems like Cedega is the only way.
zibi1981
Thanks for doing the searching SoulSe. But it seems this thread ended in 2006 (last post on May 3rd, 2006, 07:24 AM), or am I wrong? A lot has changed since then, and we have a new version of Wine almost every two weeks. Maybe there is a way...
SoulSe
Possibly, but if someone had made it work since then I'm sure that a search would reveal something. I guess the best way to find out is to get hold of the game from a friend or someone and try it out.
zibi1981
I could do that, but probably running this game (as other too) require to do some tricks, with wine regedit i.e., which I never could do myself without help. So I'm looking for some hints from people who maybe did the trick.
