Guest thenthenio Posted February 18, 2007 Report Share Posted February 18, 2007 After a clean reinstall of Mandriva free 2007.0 and Cooker Ekiga is surprisingly not working anymore. It starts but exits immediately. When I run it from console this is the error i get: ekiga: symbol lookup error: ekiga: undefined symbol: _ZN11SIPEndPoint17CreateMessageInfoERK7PStringS2_ Before reinstalling from scratch it was working correctly. arctic Posted February 18, 2007 Report Share Posted February 18, 2007 A quick Internet search shows that this is probably a bug in the application https://bugzilla.altlinux.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9625 . However, I cannot translate what they say there, as the bug-report is in kyrillic. :mellow: You could try to force a reinstall of ekiga. And remove the config file in your directory. Guest thenthenio Posted February 18, 2007 Report Share Posted February 18, 2007 I also found something in the Internet but it didn't help me. I already reinstalled twice but the problem remains. Unfortunately I do not find any .ekiga file or directory in my home. Anyway it happens also trying logging in as different user (new user should have no local config daved in his home).
