lorisarvendu Posted February 9, 2007 Report Share Posted February 9, 2007 I run a vncserver at home that I connect to from work. For a year now I've been running the server off the same display - 17. For reasons that have nothing to do with this post, I have to move the server to another display. However, whenever I run my KDE desktop from any other display other than 17, most of the icons on the desktop don't work. I double-click on them, I get a bouncing mouse hourglass for a while then nothing happens. A couple of icons do work (Mozilla), but the others don't. I can't start Opera, or gproftpd, or even start a console, when I'm connected to a vncserver running on any display other than 17. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
