tyme
xcdroast apparently has some non-scsi emulation cd burning support: http://www.xcdroast.org/xcdr098/changelog-a13.html read 22-12-02 also http://www.xcdroast.org/xcdr098/faq-a13.html#28 so although it doesn't seem to work all that well yet, it looks promising. Guest ndeb
Its old news. But the real important thing is that now, users won't need scsi-emulation for cd-rom drives (to make them visible to xcdroast). Only cd-rw drives need to be scsi-emulated from now on. This should have been taken care of long ago. I mean why would xcdroast need scsi-emulation to read from a cd-drive ? The same drawback affects other GUI-based cd-burners like k3b ( http://k3b.sourceforge.net/index.php?page=faq.html ). About koncd and coaster, I do not know.
