I bought a Mandrive 2007 dvd on friday. The installation went ok, but i

cannot connect to the internet with firefox.

I have a vodacom 3g hsdpa data card installed on a pci adapter on my pc.

On the hardware the pcmica controler look ok. it reported the Ricoh RLc475

Bridge_cardbus ok.

On wireless connection it saw the HUAWEI mobile card.

When I connect a green band indicating a SSID 65501 medium signal and

unlocked.

When I acces misc internet connections it get stuck on testing my

connection.

I have entered the access point as *99***1# with the correct pin and

username and password empty.

when i run firefox it keep on telling me that the server is not found.

where is my problem

thks

willie

Hey Willie. I'm also on Vodacom and I've installed these cards in Linux before - just not on Mandriva as such :(

Access points are different to the initiation string though. Try making the APN 'internet' and then set it to dial *99#
