Hi,

I am using Mandriva Free 2007 on Toshiba Satellite laptop. I have KLaptop installed and setup. Is there someway i can specify the setting like turn of monitor after XXX time, but not hardisk or processor or turn off hardisk after XYZ time etc?? Toshiba providees such utilities with laptops but they are only for windows.

I have heard about Kpowersaver as well?? Does this software allows such functionality.

thnx

Sure. If you are using KDE, go to kcontrol > peripherals > display > power control

edit: noticed about hd. Don't know, but you can set the laptop to go into power saving mode under kcontrol > power control > laptop battery > power control
