linuxrush
Hi guys, I went on a little adventure yesterday.... tried to install my first bootsplash, however I failed miserably: https://mandrivausers.org/index.php?showtopic=37292 I followed the HOWTO guide found here: http://qa.mandriva.com/twiki/bin/view/Main/BootSplashHowTo But that did not work. So my question is, what is the correct way to install a bootsplash? By Bootsplash, I am talking about the screen that hides the background information while loading. I am specifically trying to install this bootsplash: http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=29662 Please let me know how can I go about doing this. Thank you, -LR [moved from Everything Linux by spinynorman]
Mhn
By running drakboot --splash you are able to change between installed splash-themes. There is also a package with different themes: bootsplash-themes
linuxrush
Once again, thank you Mhn. Very helpful. Just what I was looking for. However, the bootsplash i want is not in the drop down list... I will need to investigate on this. Thanks once again, -LR
