OK, I finally got this one installed.

Specs.

Dual booted XP/ Mandriva 2006 Sager notebook

3.2Ghz

1 GB RAM

Linksys WPC54G V. 3 (stated on card)

drivers for the card-

bcmwl5.sys

LSBCMNDS.inf

kernel from uname -a command -

2.6.12-12mdksmp

ndiswrapper v 1.29

I kept trying to install using ndiswrapper, but to no avail.

I then downloaded the ndiswrapper 1.29 and followed the INSTALL text document.

It seems that I uninstalled the current version, and installed the newest version and followed the instructions.

I left the card in the slot at all times ( I saw some tutorials that stated to remove then install ).

Copy the two driver files to a directory in Mandriva (

mine were in /home/Linksys )

Assuming you have all the requirements..........

1.Read the INSTALL document from ndiswrapper, and start at Downloading.

2.Uninstall the ndiswrapper and then install the new version.

3. Then you will install the driver inf file.

4.Then modprobe.

5.That takes you to the iwconfig.

6.If everything works OK, there should be an Internet wireless icon on the lower left hand corner, by the time.

7.Right click on it and select Configure Network.

8. Make sure WLAN0 is selected.

9. Then wait a while for it to kick in.

Hope it helps!
