c-clone
My web browser had no problem displaying asian characters(japanesse, korean and chinesse) if it is a web page. I am getting weirds character when it is a ftp site. I managed to get some kanji characters in Firefox(I am more towards konqueror) by changing its text encoding to jis or korean so I guess it must be somewhere to twig in konqueror's config. With the kanji character displayable in Firefox how do I make them a valid link. Up to now any link with kanji characters will open a non valid page and these characters change with diferent text encoding. Is there a 1 for all encoding? Regards, Yes but the servers need to be running as utf8 ... otherwise you8 play the switch encoding style everytime you follow a link... you can change the order of detection and this can help a lot but mostly it depends how they declare their pages encoding in the HTML header... (least ways as I understand it)
scarecrow
scim is the package that enables you accessing various apps with simplified chinese settings+input. Since I do not use scim, I have no real idea how well it's working.
