neddie
Is that some extension pack you can get for it? Like GTA Vice City or Need for Speed Carbon? Hmmm, Open Office: Core Dumps. The end is near.

ianw1974
I'm looking forward to when office HAS to support the openoffice standards from an article I read recently. I think will kind of be the beginning of the end of MS Office at least. Why pay when you can get it for free and just as good? Well, we shall see..... paul
so much for doing things the "mandriva" way ... fixed it removing all oo packages, then installing the binary rpms from openoffice.org

scarecrow
Using here a self-built OOo 2.04 from source (the default OOo packages for Arch Linux are still based on prebuilt OOo binaries). I have not encountered any problems, either with the self-built OOo 2.0.4 executables, or with the stock binaries- so it's either a Mandriva packaging issue, or a PEBKAC issue. Since the latter is a bit unlikely (experienced Linux user between keyboard and chair), it's more likely that mandriva screwed up bigtime- again.
