tyme
Check out these tips for some nice customization of your Firefox 2 setup - including how to move the close tab button back to the right instead of having it on every tab, FF 1.5 style, if you don't like the new setup. daniewicz
Instead of making customizations using about:config as discussed in the link, you can make the same modifications using a user.js file in your hidden preferences folder (mine is located here: ~/.mozilla/firefox/1xoykpyc.default) The advantage is you won't have to tweak again when you upgrade firefox. For example, if you want to implement the tweak: layout.spellcheckDefault = 2 add this to user.js: user_pref("layout.spellcheckDefault",2);
