Everything works fine except for the wireless connection. I can see the hardware ok and have configured the wireless connection. Everything looks ok but I still can't get it to connect. Iwconfig shows the following: [root@Chazztop ~]# iwconfig lo no wireless extensions. eth0 no wireless extensions. eth1 radio off ESSID:off/any Mode:Managed Channel:0 Access Point: 00:00:00:00:00:00 Bit Rate=0 kb/s Tx-Power=off Retry limit:7 RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off Encryption key:off Power Management:off Link Quality:0 Signal level:0 Noise level:0 Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0 Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:0 Missed beacon:0 sit0 no wireless extensions. When booting up, the eth1 interface loads successfully but it's as if the hardware is turned off and I can't see any way of activating it. ianw1974 Posted October 23, 2006 Report Share Posted October 23, 2006 Can you post an: ifconfig -a so we can see if your card has an IP address. Did you choose DHCP or static?
