scoonma
Hi joaopa, disabling the "cpufreqd" service using MCC (Mandriva Control Center) or manually do this using chkconfig should be enough. Cpufreqd is for throttling CPU speed, mostly in laptops to save electric power (in order to run just on batteries for a longer period of time). Except for simply disabling this, you could also finetune that option in order to fit your needs. There are different governors and preconfigured schemes.
