ianw1974
Was previously using VMware Server on Mandriva 2006, and all was working perfectly well. I then decided, to do a clean install with Mandriva 2007. Since then, VMware Server no longer accepts remote connections and fails saying the username/password is incorrect. The install of VMware Server has been exactly identical to previous, so I know it's not something I've done. I've also verified that it's listening on port 902 for the clients to connect. I know that the username/password is also correct. Anyone else having the same problem?!?

ianw1974
Checked the hosts.allow/deny files and they are OK. Could be msec, but I can connect with ssh, etc, etc, so not sure why. I'm using standard security as well so msec shouldn't be a problem. Weird!
ianw1974
Solved this by putting Fedora on the machine instead. Maybe I'll get it figured with 2007 eventually.
