I have just loaded 2007 free and it recognises my wireless card and told me to load wpa-supplicant, wich I did but every time I try to change from wep to wpa-psk it just returns to wep, can anyone help me sort this out as I think that is the only thing preventing me from connecting to the net!!!

I've deleted your duplicate post about this - please don't post twice.

Can you give more information, how are you trying to enable wpa? I had similar problems in 2006 when I tried to do it through the gui. The solution was to enable it just once in the gui, and then check your config and manually put it in place.

Please post the contents of the following two files, so I can see what you got, and also tell me how you're trying to configure it:

/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-wlan0

/etc/wpa_supplicant.conf

The first is your network config, and should be ifcfg-wlan0 unless you are using an atheros chipset card - which normally is ifcfg-ath0. Would also help to know your wireless card.
