Qchem
I'm running Mandriva 2007 and whenever I open gnome-terminal the session is in ~/Desktop - I'd much rather it was just ~, but I can't figure out where the setting is, anyone any ideas? Qchem
Thanks, I did search but obviously not well enough. Hopefully this will fix the problem with firefox not being able to save to anywhere but Desktop too.
ianw1974
It did for me, it solved pretty much everything. I first noticed it with terminal, and then when I checked all the other stuff later, it was OK too. If it doesn't work, try changing the mdk at the beginning to mdv instead - just in case they changed it on the new version. I'm using KDE in 2007, so I've not tried it yet with Gnome. Qchem
I know I'm rambling a little now, but any ideas on why they implemented this? As an *NIX user it just seems bonkers!
ianw1974
I've no idea, but seen it on other distros too, I think Red Hat was one I noticed.
