Guest Eduard
Hi, I've tried some videos on KPlayer (MPEG1, MPEG2, DivX), and to my suprise none of them worked. Enabling the Terminal window inside KPlayer, I can see everytime I press the 'Play' button the following message: '/bin/sh: 'mplayer': command not found'. A quick search using 'locate' confirms that, effectively, 'mplayer' is not present in my system. ¿Any tips about why isn't it installed? Or, at least, how can I install it.... Best regards, Eduard

scarecrow
I don't even know about "kplayer". Do you mean that one? http://kplayer.sourceforge.net/ If this is the one, never tried or used it... sorry. But to my poor knowledge, it's both buggy and obsolete/unmaintained. If you mean "kmplayer", then it's a nice video frontend (imho better than kaffeine), actively maintained+developed, which works well with both mplayer and xine.
