michaelc
I have my computer hooked up to a DSL modem, and the internet is fast, like it should be. But...when I download torrents (which are supposed to be VERY fast), I get like <30 kb/s. And most of the time its >10. I searched the internet, and it just was a bunch of stuff for my problem but on Windoze. All the torrents have high seeders, and good health, too. The client I'm using is Ktorrent. Also, I have figured out that it is a NAT problem. W/e that is. Any idea what's gone awry?
scarecrow
ktorrent is-not-reliable (yet), period and fullstop. Use a native client (many of them available), or even a tested one via wine (uTorrent).

ianw1974
I use azureus. There's loads of clients out there.
dexter11
I use Azureus too, but you have to open up a port on your firewall for any rorrent clients.
Guest Nathan Vogt
I think Opera 9 makes a good bittorent client.
ffi
I think Opera 9 makes a good bittorent client. I think opera is a great browser, the best there is, but a real crappy torrent client. Azureus does really wel on my machine and has upnp support, so no need to forward ports in my router. Bittornado, Bittorrent (official client) and Azureus are all available in the repos.... Edited December 30, 2006 by ffi
scarecrow
Azureus and BitTornado are both 100% reliable and fast.
Patkos Csaba
I can't give a solution for your problem, but I'm using KTorrent since mandriva 2006 and it performs very well for me...
