hussam
I just installed mandriva using this live installable cd mandriva-one-2007-mona-gnome-west.iso I'm new to mandriva when I try to launch gaim it crashes. This is what I get when I launch it from a gnome-terminal: GTK Accessibility Module initialized Aborted (core dumped) [moved from Software by spinynorman - welcome aboard :)]
arctic
Hello :) Have you updated your box already with easyurpmi ( http://www.mandrivausers.org/easyurpmi/index.php )? There was an update for Gaim or one of its libs, IIRC. My cooker runs Gaim without any problems. :)
scarecrow
I'd update the basic gnome libs myself (bonobo, cairo etc). One issue is that RPMDrake does not work very well for that Mandriva beta ( see for example here ), but let's hope you should be able to update without issues. After all, this release is Cooker, and many things are broken in Cooker most of the times- right?
arctic
The urpmi, rpm and rpmdrake packages got updated already, scarecrow, thus broken downloads should not happen anymore. All I can say is: my system has no problems with urpmi/rpmdrake since several days. If you ran into probs with it (in case you run cooker), then plz add a bugreport. :)

hussam
ok, I removed ~/.gaim and now it works again. I also added the main and contrib repos for cooker and will download the updates packages. I'll post in new threads if there are any further problems.
