Guest SnowX
I am using the Mona RC. I used drakconf to enable the fglrx driver for my ATI x1600. It made me log out/in again to get the driver running which I think it was. Here is the problem. Nothing renders quite correctly with the driver enabled. There are random transparencies and some windows do not even show up. I have tried getting the ATI driver to work with various distros, but all have the same problem. Any help would be very appreciated. Thank you, Mark Edited September 13, 2006 by SnowX
arctic
I'd say: Mandriva did something wrong with the transparencys. I remember that several problems with transparency were reported some days ago and that the problem is being worked on. Please check Mandrivas Bugzilla. http://qa.mandriva.com/
Guest SnowX
arctic, Thank you for the reply. I do not believe it is related to that issue. It is probably an issue with the fglrx driver or my video card. All is well though, managed to order an geforce 6200 for $33. Thanks again. Guest SnowX
I got Mona working with 3d effects with the new nvidia card and all I can say is wow. The OS seems very responsive and the effects are great (and useful). Good stuff.
