eroica
hello, problem here is since i upgraded kernel to 2.6.17 & hal to 0.5.7-12.mdk2006.0.mde on bootup my Intersil Prism2 mini-pci wireless card running Mandriva 2006 on Toshiba Satellite 1410 is recognized only about 1/2 the time. The other half I see that it refers to my wireless card as eth1 instead of eth0 and says cant find ant config file for device.I see a listing for pcmciautils-007-4mdk. Is this an update to pcmcia-cs that might solve my problem? The reason i say this is in /messages log i see this entry: localhost kernel: pccard: PCMCIA card inserted into slot 0 Sep 3 17:24:40 localhost kernel: pcmcia: Detected deprecated PCMCIA ioctl usage from process: cardmgr. ianw1974
Most likely because you have a network card in your machine that uses an Intel network card driver - the e100. This is your wired network card. Your wireless should be wlan0 or similar. I'm also moving the post to the MDE forums, because you're using a modified version of Mandriva now.
