Because of changed circumstances I can no longer live with pop3 only mail and need a good, open source webmail for my shared hosting Linux webserver. First thing's first: I loathe Squirrel mail, It's ugly, uses frames and I don't enjoy the way it does things. I found Illoha Mail ( http://blog.ilohamail.org/ ), and it seems like what I need, but maybe you can advise something other or better. The last Illoha update has been in 2004 and it seems a long time ago. Can you give any feedback about it? I'd appreciate any help in this. Thanks! --- p.s. I haven't been posting much here lately, because my Fedora box just runs great and everything works. But I'll check out the new Mandriva when it comes out. p.p.s. A week or so ago I went to a tech shop to buy a mobile phone for myself and in the shop there were pc's with Mandriva Linux 2006 preinstalled! jlc Posted September 5, 2006 Report Share Posted September 5, 2006 Check this out if your running Fedora Core 5, this setup uses Dovecot which is in the repository. http://www.howtoforge.com/perfect_setup_fedora_core_5 This is a detailed description how to set up a Fedora Core 5 based server that offers all services needed by ISPs and hosters (web server (SSL-capable), mail server (with SMTP-AUTH and TLS!), DNS server, FTP server, MySQL server, POP3/IMAP, Quota, Firewall, etc.). This tutorial is written for the 64-bit version of Fedora Core 5, but should apply to the 32-bit version with very little modifications as well.
