Qchem
This is a little strange, but hopefully someone will have some ideas. Before the latest update, I could click on a URL in my email client (virtual desktop 2) or RSS aggreagator (virtual desktop 3) and the page would load in a new tab in Firefox on the virtual desktop it was located on (usually 4 for what it matters). This was with Firefox 1.5.0.2 When I downloaded the latest version (1.5.0.6), via yast, the behaviour has changed and clicking a link now moves firefox to the same virtual desktop as the email client or RSS aggregator before opening a new tab. I'd prefer firefox to stay where it was rather than jumping around (and hence destroying the point of virtual desktops for me). Anyone got any clues about this? tyme
did you get any other updates via yast? usually window positioning is handled by the WM, and not the application itself. though firefox could be forcing something.
Qchem
The only other stuff was gpg related, very odd!
SoulSe
Msut have been a change made to Firefox then. They probably reviewed that behavioural element and changed it. I would write a strongly worded letter of disapproval...
coverup
I have Firefox 1.5.0.6 from Mozilla and would like to confirm that its behaviour has not changed compared to the previous version I had (1.5.0.1) - clicking a link in an email client window opens the page in the new tab as before. Qchem
It's probably something specific to the SuSE version then.
