FX
For those of you that can't get enough of #musb or any other irc channel..... http://jmirc.sourceforge.net/ I put this on my cellphone today and got it working pretty good. Nokia 6255i. You'll need a cellphone that can access the internet and a data package from your provider. http://jmirc.sourceforge.net/jmIrc.jad This link is case sensitive and will install the program on your cellphone automatically. (Its is from their download page) After installing go to where ever your apps are stored on your cell phone. Start the app, but before connecting you should see an "option" for one of your keys next to your screen. Click on profiles and create a new one. Change your nick and the usual stuff. For the server change it from the default to "irc.freenode.net". Then change the default channel to whatever channel you want to join. I have mine set at #boardracing,#musb. When you are typing and want symbols, whatever key would work on your phone for msg click on that and you should see an option on your screen. Click on that key that would access the options and hi-light the "dictionary on." Then hit the options key again and you'll see symbols, navigate down to there and hit whatever key you need to. There are the symbols like #. Also when going from one channel to another you can use your navigation key to go back and forth. Here is a pic. Not sure how good it is going to look. SoulSe
I'm gonna try that out! What I'd really like is a cross-platform instant messaging client, like gaim, for my phone. They are out there, but I haven't found any free ones.
