What's with the DVD that was also offered? What's on it?

Unless someone posts a really crappy review of the book, I'll get it. It'd be really nice to have all that intel together in one place. One thing that I find frustrating is the disjointedness of linux documentation.

Hmmm! Publishing their own books. No other authors/publishers interested in the allegedly most popular desktop version of Linux? Another revenue stream? Most books lose money except textbooks, best sellers and niche markets. All computer books dated when they hit bookstore shelves. Will you still love me etc. etc.

About £23.99 which is about average for good quality computer books.

And in the US, the shipping is about $12 (it was 11 something, more than 25% of the book cost). Stopped me cold from ordering. I'll wait until it hits the book shelves and pay the local government/state tax ~8%.

As for the DVD option (79USD) it contains the complete 9.0 Power Pack

How much is the DVD version of Mandrake Power Pack.. I mean.. not that I need it but I can give it to a friend of mine who is having problems with his Mandrake (he needs some unix lessons in order to put something in his resume for an internship, I figure I just installed mandrake and buy him that book in order for him to learn).

I just got my book this past weekend. I am not impressed at all. I thought I would go more in detail. It just gave a broad info on a lot of stuff. Just my opinion
