USB modem on Mandriva 2006

I have an USB Aethra Starmodem with chipset ADI supported by drivers Eagle .

How can I make it working in MDV 2006?

I have flat ADSL connection.

Have kernel proper modulus already installed?

I had a sagem usb modem that uses the same chipset and the eagle driver.

 

It was a real pain to use (usb modems tend to be) and usually took a couple of attempts to bring it up each time I used it. What have you tried to do so in your attempt to get it to work.

 

To see if a module has loaded try: lsmod

 

alternatively: lsmod | less will allow you to scroll through the output

 

if you know the name of the module you are looking for then

 

lsmod | grep modulename

 

should work.
