safari dodgy-ness

Recommended Posts

or should I say OSX dodgy-ness ?? coz the same problem happens with FF and opera on OSX

http://mandrakeusers.org should redirect here (and it does) as does

http://www.mandrakeusers.org

https://mandrivausers.net

http://www.mandrivausers.net

the list continues !!!

but my OSX thinks mandrakeusers.org is still at KWH.

now don't get me wrong .. open a terminal and "dig mandrakeusers.org" .. correct IP

ping mandrakeusers.org correct IP

ping www.mandrakeusers.org correct ip

browse www.mandrakeusers.org correct website

browse mandrakeusers.org . .BANG ! cpanel error . .I mean WTF ?!?!?!

FWIW, last night I could get the main site page but the login redirected back to the old server! This morning, everything goes here. I think it would be best to wait 48 hours before panic!

Yeah, I did that when I could not hit the login page, but it was still weird. Anyway, all is fine today.

I found when I used some utils on moving my domain name recently, the commands like dig/host, etc were picking the new settings, but using nslookup showed the old settings.

So could have been a DNS issue for a short while. It was in my instance. :P
