mystified
First off, where is it on the menu? I have to go to run and type k3b. Then I don't even get a chance to set it up. It freezes on scanning for cd devices. I have to use xkill to shut it down. Any suggestions?
scarecrow
You might be missing some libs, or the program cannot initialize your burning devices... What happens if you type kdesu k3bsetup instead? Edited July 11, 2006 by scarecrow
mystified
It prompts me for my root password and then I get nothing. And the funny thing is that I'm trying to burn my Mandriva DVD because I lost my old one!
Gul Dukat
Do you have the same problem with Gnomebaker?

System - Archiving - CD Burning... ;) Now, that's just plain silly. In gentoo it's under multimedia. ;)

Took me a while to find it. Then I thought..."that's dumb..."

Guest viju
Is it supplied with Mandrake 10 official?
arctic
K3b is available for any Mandriva release if you use KDE as default desktop (= in Mdv ONE, Gnome-version, you need to install it later through easyurpmi).
scarecrow
Mandrake 10 included k3b 0.11-something, you may still find a few Mandrake mirrors who have Mandrake RPM's that old... (e.g. Contactel).
AussieJohn
In Mandriva2006-Official, K3B is in Menu.......System...........Archiving.........K3B. It doesn't matter where it is usually placed in any other OSs :D It seems like you need to uninstall K3B and reinstall it again. This is usually a lot quicker than trying to fix a dicky application. Cheers. John. Edited September 17, 2006 by AussieJohn
