Guest alansecker Posted July 1, 2006 Report Share Posted July 1, 2006 Although my 'new' 2006 recognises my hotplug flashdrive, it ignores my card reader, although my earlier 2005 machine had no problem. Similarly my wife's Sony DSC-T9 is ignored even though it indicates that the USB connection has been made. Could there be some kind of update that I don't know about that will fix this (I hope)? tyme Posted July 1, 2006 Report Share Posted July 1, 2006 have you set up and update source through mandriva control center and gotten all of the available updates there? be sure you're getting all updates (not just security/bug). Also, what do you mean by ignores? You may want to check the output of dmesg, that is, plug in the camera and immediately run dmesg: $ dmesg And check the last few lines, it should state some information about connected devices.
