Good way to get the wmp54gx# working?

I can get it to find my network. I know the driver is working. This is linsys' new MIMO card for pcs. The driver appears to work a bit. I mean, it brings the interface up, I'm able to scan the networks and find my network. I'm even able to connect, but after I connect the link quality is 0/100. It sends data back and forth to keep the signal alive but nothing else. Anyone else experimenting with this card?

I have the same card and have been unable to get it to function. I'm using the XP driver and ndiswrapper. I can associate with my AP but I can't even acquire a DHCP lease.

 

Have you been able to get this card working?

Is there a better driver choice?

Yeah, no information about the card there unfortunately. I've been searching for a few days and I'm wondering if its even possible to get this card working. I hope I don't have to go back to M$.

I would suggest using:

 

lspci

 

and find out what your card is being shown as here, then, use some details from this to find out the pciid. Here is my example for a normal ethernet connection, as I'm not on a machine with wireless, but you can apply the same principals:

now, my ethernet is shown as 02:08 from the above info, so now do:

 

[root@europa ian]# lspci -n | grep 02:08
02:08.0 Class 0200: 8086:1031 (rev 42)

 

and you can see my pciid is 8086:1031. For yours, change the number after the grep command for your wireless card. Then use this pciid from the last command to find your card in the ndiswrapper database.

to my grub configuration. Adding the config key quieted down all the error messages that were showing up in dmesg, but I still had the same problem.

is that anything like yours or does it tell you anything? With my wmp54gx4, I get everything perfect 100% of the time except the link quality is 0/100. Think mimo will be available for the next release of ndiswrapper or is it still too new?
