isadora
Probably better to inform at forehand. My Iiyama TFT display has died, and so i am about to buy a new TFT, ViewSonic VP930. Now i'm asking myself, whether this screen is a good choice especially in usage with Mandriva 2006. There's no entry for this monitor found in MCC/Hardware/Look at and configure hardware/Videocard/Run config tool/Monitor. Any ideas??? Ixthusdan
The secret to panels is to set them at their native resolution. Generic settings work fine as long as the native resolution and refresh rates are correct.
isadora
Thank you very much Ixthusdan. This means i can change settings in xorg.conf for the display according to the panels specifications? Edited June 9, 2006 by isadora
Ixthusdan
Yes, which is exactly what I would do. A little hint for success is also to turn off launching X at boot until you know your settings work.
