Upgrading Red Hat packages using rpm command

Recommended Posts

I've never understood why the gui tools were so limited, when rpm from cli had so many more features that would greatly reduce the 'rpm is too limited' wrap. It just means the writing of more scripts and files, yet it's taken years to get any included. I'm sure there's a logical reason, but....After all, that's all apt4rpm was ;)

Yep, thats why I do like smart package manager, has many many features, down side of something I noticed latly after someone asked if it used much memory, it KILLS your memory! Like you said though, still is limited as compared to what rpm can do.
