USB crashes

I would be tempted to put a # at the beginning of the "Load synaptics" line, and see if this helps make a difference.

Although further down, it mentions Driver synaptics in your mouse section config, so I'll have to check my system out and find out what generic driver we can put here instead, and see if X loads. Just in case it's a synaptics conflict or something. The rest looks OK though.

I'll post back shortly with the driver to place in the other section.

Mine says:

Driver "mouse"

in one of my mouse sections. I have two because I use synaptics for the laptop mouse, and mouse for the normal usb mouse. Maybe this will help.

EDIT:

forget that, you're xorg.conf has both configs for two types of mouse. I would just comment out the "Load synaptics" line, and then see if it stabilises. Alternatively, it could be your other mouse section that is causing the problem when you use your usb mouse.

I've had an idea while having a beer. Can you check your BIOS for legacy usb options. Are they enabled or disabled? Try changing these, and see if it makes a difference.

Can you post your xorg.conf file here so I can see exactly what you have?

I have tried the USB legacy thing already, but I will try it again. Thank you for trying to help me so much!

I thought you might have, I kind of had a feeling we probably already suggested this somewhere.

Anyhow, here is my xorg.conf. This is from my Toshiba Satellite Pro A10 2.2GHz machine.
