Fedora Core 5 KDE menu

Recommended Posts

Hi!

I have a few programs installed that don't show up in the kmenu,

the kmenuedit app does not have any update menus function like Mandriva menu editor did when it searched for unlisted programs (there was also that update menus command).

Is there any command in FC5 that would update my menus?

I suspect that because of that I also can not launch the program through alt+f2 run program call, because it then says that there is no such program (could not find executable), although the program runs if I launch it from terminal (totem in this case).

----------

oh, and since I made a thread, one more question:

What FC5 tool to use to reformat, mount, unmount, resize, etc my partitions? Is there something similar to disk drake?

Thanks!

nono, I was talking about totem and alt+f2 ;)

but I was wondering if there is an automatic command that does this, like there is in Mandriva (update menus)

humm, when I try to launch "totem' through command run, it tries to launch "totem-xine" instead, and then says there is no such totem-xine.

there is a conflict between these two,

and I know that the correct command is just "totem", not "totem-xine"

p.s. sorry if this sounds confusing, I'm in the middle of a work and my thoughts are a bit messed up right now
