cherryelky305
this is probably a stupid question, I'm new to linux. Im going to be using mandriva 2006 and was wondering if there was a chance that HL2 or Medal of honor pacific assult would work in mandriva 2006. I know that linux is not good for gaming and that i shouldent expect it to work, this is more just curiosity than for practical use. If there is a website which delves deeper into using windows app's on mandriva please post a link, and i apologize before hand if this is a common post. phunni
Linux is fine for gaming - I've done it loads as have others here. Many games have native linux ports and for those that haven't you hould check out cedega

ffi
Medal of Honor and Half Life 2 both work with Cedega, as arctic's link will reveal :) Will Cedega make games work which fail under Wine?
SoulSe
Will Cedega make games work which fail under Wine? Most likely, since it adds libraries (dlls) that substitute for DirectX along with some other stuff Wine doesn't have. A list of games that work can be found at http://www.transgaming.org/
