Mailing lists/user-accounts or some system-tweaks that you made to your base-system (hacking as root)? For the normal user-stuff, simply burn the ~/.evolution folder onto a DVD or several CDs (depending on how much data you have there). If everything is burned, you need to set up the mail-accounts again hen you copy it back afaik. But all filters will be there. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
polemicz Posted April 4, 2006 Report Share Posted April 4, 2006 I have usually backed up the whole .evolution directory. Recently did that when I got a new machine. I back up to another computer via LAN. I've never had a problem with this. For what it's worth I also have my .evolution directory in /home as a link to another partition separate from /home (makes it easier to mess with distros).
