Guest itti
I was wondering if i should switch from Kernel AGPGART to NvAGP cause i read that it supports my KT133 Chipset. Would there be any increase in performance with NvAGP? What do you consider to be the best way to use AGP?
zero0w
I would like to know as well. What's the difference? And how to modify to switch the module?
Guest namaste1
At least with my machine nvagp is the only way to keep everything stable. With native linux agp system freezes quite often...
Guest frew
Hmmm, I have an nvidia and my comp crashes every few days. (yes I append mem=nopentium) Would this have anything to do it? and If so what would I do to enable it?
Guest
8.2 AGPGART works fine, 9.0 NvAGP made it stable 4 me
Guest namaste1
I don't remember exactly how to enable nvagp, but there are excellent instructions in Nvidia site or in the readme file. You just modify your Xfree4 config file.
Guest itti
i switched to nvagp now by appending Option "NVAGP" "1" to my XF86-Config-4 right under Option "DPMS".lsmod tells me that the AGPGART module is not loaded anymore. everything runs fine for now but no increase in performance.
