Yankee
Ok, I got 2006 installed and it comes up with a login screen that has no way to choose KDE or Gnome. I like the old one best. I have looked all over and cannot find where to enable the old login menu. Where is it? Looks pretty nice though...
Yankee
I found the menu at the bottom to select KDE etc. Just tired I guess but I sill like the one where you can click your name to log in. Still can't find how to get it back.
zachwor
Open up your MCC and you should be able to change your login preferences from there. If I remember correctly it actually has it's own tab down at the bottom of the list. From there you can choose KDM, GDM, and I believe X Window logins as well as some options. Hope this helps. Yankee
Thanks guys. I found the post where Aussiejohn answered this question. For the life of me I'll never figure out why linux (pretty much all of them) moves things or pulls a stunt like this from version to version.
