Joni
What's a good program that draws mathematical functions on the screen, like y=x^2-8 and so on. Sys: Mandrake 10.1 Official
neddie
Never tried it but it looks like what you're after: Gnuplot Or you can generate some nice plots with OpenOffice Calc, just takes a little bit more work to set up a data table and then create a chart from that. tl017
Hi Joni, try Dr.Geo - a geometry program - or kig (KDE Interactive Geometry). Ciao, tl017
polemicz
OO Math should be checked out, that's what it's there for.
neddie
Not really, it'll draw you a nice picture of the mathematical expression but it's not going to draw the parabolic curve for you.

Guest silverback011
Gnuplot is good and powerful. It has a bit of a learning curve. I use it for all my plotting needs. It is a popular application in this lab. I will second Grace also. I have used this one also. It works pretty well. I chose to use Gnuplot due to my needs. I didn't want to take the time to learn 2 tools well. Pick the one that fits you best.
