KDE Taskbar Question

Hello,

I've just finished installing Mandrake 10.0 and the topic at hand is my only 'problem' so far, which indicates how happy I am with this Linux flavour because it isn't really a big issue.

Now, the KDE taskbar shows all current tasks, but rather than indicating the active one with a 'pushed in' button and all the others with a 'pushed out' button, is does somehow fade the text on the buttons, i.e. active button is bold and the task I used the longest time ago is only faintly readable. Is there a way to make this go away and have the 'in-or-out' solution?

Many thanks,

hmhm

hmhm,

Upgrading to Mandriva 2006 will not change this default behavior as I have the same issue with Mandriva 2006 KDE desktop install where buttons for open tasks are not pushed in or out as you desire but text is bolded for active task item.

Maybe some of the solutions previously mentioned or a desktop theme change could change this for you??

Mine aren't pushed in or out either, and I'm using KDE 3.5 on Arch. I think it's just a KDE feature or it's a feature of the theme you're using as congdonb mentions.
