Hello all,

I have installed wine-20050930-1fc1winehq on my Fedora Core Installation, when i try to run any application i get the error L"c:\\windows" is not accessible, even when i try to set the c:\\ with the help of winecfg it gives error err:winecfg:apply_drive_changes unable to define devicename of 'C:', targetpath of '/home/pritu/.wine/fake_windows'

i have heard that from wine versions 20050725 the config file has been disabled and the values are now stored instead in registry files in your .wine directory. how can i make wine up & running

[pritu@localhost pritu]$ winecfg

Warning: the specified Windows directory L"c:\\windows" is not accessible.

Warning: the specified System directory L"c:\\windows\\system32" is not accessible.

Warning: could not find DOS drive for current working directory '/home/pritu', starting in the Windows directory.

err:winecfg:apply_drive_changes unable to define devicename of 'C:', targetpath of '/home/pritu/.wine/fake_windows'

err:winecfg:apply_drive_changes unable to define devicename of 'C:', targetpath of '/home/pritu/'

I'm not running as root & have done all basic things right,i have successfully installed earlier versions of wine on other distros

please help me with this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
